About Us

Casa del Sole e della Luna make your stay unique and magical. They are located in the heart of Sasso Caveoso, one of the oldest areas of Matera and are halfway between the two main streets of the city center: Via Ridola and Via Bruno Buozzi. From large apartments with balconies to small rooms we give the guest the opportunity to choose based on their needs and tastes.
Our services
All rooms have an independent entrance and private bathroom. Inside you will find a set of bed linen and towels and a small courtesy line of body and hand soap. They have heating and air conditioning, hair dryer (with diffuser), satellite TV and the rooms of Casa del Sole have wifi. Breakfast is not included but in each apartment there is a capsule coffee machine, tea, herbal teas and also the water is drinkable.

  • COT

    We offer with an extra cost a cot for your apartament. 

    Please inform us earlier. It includes the bed linen and pillow.

    We can also give you the cot for FREE if you open it by yourself and you bring your own bed linen.

  • IRON

    we give FOR FREE the iron if requested. Please bring it back to the reception the same day or the day after.

9/10 Maddibb, it: Beautiful little apartment, with a spectacular view of the Sassi. Easy to reach even if it is located inside the Sassi, obviously not with huge suitcases because you have to climb some steps anyway. Marzia was very friendly and gave us excellent advice on how to get around, what to visit and where to eat. I recommend this property 100%

Everything is easily accessible from the accommodation and the host even prepared a tourist itinerary for us on a map upon arrival, which was very helpful. They were extremely kind and helpful throughout our stay and even offered us a real Italian espresso upon arrival, one of the best of our entire trip. The accommodation is a 10 in every way, impeccable! If we ever return, we will definitely stay here again!
